Born in Brazil, Beo da Silva is a multi-disciplined artist, a physical performer, singer, songwriter, actress, and aerialist.
After graduating from Theatre and Circus School, Beo has travelled around the globe. She participated in touring productions such as Cirque du Soleil, Circus Roncallis and Pomp Duck and Circumstances.
Beo’s wide ranging skills make her very special. Singing from the early age of 10, she developed her own style, mixing together her Brazilian background with jazz, popular folk music and cabaret.
Combining singing with her acrobatic skills, she introduced a new language into the aerial world of circus: her acrobatic performance ‘Singing in Silk’ has inspired many international artists as a new category of work.
In the last year Beo has been working as Aerial Assistant Choreographer for the Friedrichstadtpalst in Berlin on their new up coming production. Next autumn she will be taking part in a brand new musical production in the south of Germany.
Mauricio Carneiro is a Brazilian designer with an interesting professional trajectory, working from theatre to cinema and TV, sometimes as a costume and set designer, other times as illustrator and graphic designer.
After graduating from a training in Theatre Design and Fashion School, Mauricio started developing his trademark as a designer in various independent theatre companies in Rio de Janeiro.
Aside from his theatre work, he has been involved in productions by TV Globo and Globo Films, on feature films like ‘Auto da Compadecida’ and ‘Caramuru’.
For nearly nine years Mauricio has been living in London and working within the Costume Department on major feature films like ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Sweeney Todd’ and ‘Children of Men’.
Mauricio and Beo’s collaboration started in Brazil 15 years ago when they were still at school. After years of individual development, they finally come together in this new project.
